NSS family participated in State Level Baisakhi Parva which was held at Namchi. We presented a Newari folk dance which symbolizes happiness n joy during spring season ( which is season of joy).

INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF KID'S CASTLE PRESCHOOL
On 6th April 2023, Govt. New Sec. School hosted two of its prime activities in its premises. The first one was the inauguration of Kid's Castle Preschool (a unit of Govt New Sec. School) in its newly constructed school building. The concept behind setting up of Kid's Castle Preschool is to achieve the goal set by NIPUN BHARAT, a nationwide mission launched by Ministry of Education, Govt. Of India in 2021. Altogether 53 students are studying in Preschool from Nursery to class II. The second one was the signatory event of the school i.e, Investiture ceremony of School Prefects-2023. The Hon'ble Chairperson, Namchi Municipal Council Mr. Ganesh Rai was present as Chief Guest. Shri G. P. 17.10.2022 PARENTS'-TEACHERS' MEETING - 2022 Today, the last Parent-Teacher meeting for the Academic Session 2022-23 was held in the School Auditorium where hundreds of Parents, Guardians had given their presence. The said meeting had a formal beginning with the welcome to SMC Chairperson Shri S. J. Lepcha as ‘Sabha Shiromani’ along with the Parents and the Guardians. SCIENCE DRAMA COMPETITION - 2022 Government New Secondary School's Drama got applauded yet again in the State Level Science Drama Competition organized by SCERT in collaboration with National Council for Science Museum and Ministry of Culture, Government of India on 27/09/2022 at Gangtok. School participated with the theme Science and Technology its benefits for Mankind - Sustainable Farming being the sub theme. The competition was witnessed by 11 Schools across 6 districts of Sikkim. Amongst which we bagged 3rd Position. The Competition was graced by Shri Milan Subba, Director Elementary Education as Chief Guest. Deemed Judges were experts like Dr. Prabin Pradhan, State Epidemiologist, Department of Health and Family welfare, Shri Lochan Adhikari, Vice Principal ATTC Bardang.
